Pivoting in the Sporting Industry: The Future of Sport is coming to TEDSports with Alvina Chen and Antony Scanlon

Join us for another episode of the iWorkinSport LIVE Interview! This time we’re diving into how sport is rapidly changing and how pioneers can lead the way, accompanied by TEDSports speakers Alvina Chen, Founder and CEO of Feldspar, and Antony Scanlon, Executive Director at the International Golf Federation.

>> Join us live on Thursday, 28 August, at 15:00 CEST, streaming on both YouTube and LinkedIn.

Having built her career on the track, Alvina is a former professional track runner. A sudden illness forced her to stop her athletic career, yet her love and passion for the track never wavered. Today Alvina is rethinking running tracks. While athletic performances and training programs have evolved over time, the running track hasn’t changed in the last 60 years. The mission of Feldspar is to reshape the experience of track running forever – for athletes, fans, and broadcasters.

Antony Scanlon has been the driving force behind golf’s historic return to the Olympic stage after a 96-year hiatus. From Rio 2016 to Paris 2024 and now looking ahead to LA28 with a brand-new mixed team event in the lineup, Antony has helped reshape the future of the sport and expanded its international footprint to ensure it’s no longer just a game of tradition, but of transformation.

Both Alvina and Antony have demonstrated throughout their careers how important it is to be able to pivot when needed. Writing new chapters in the world of sport is a discipline in itself, and whether you are putting your mark on the Olympic Program or challenging the status quo in your sport, it requires courage and curiosity.

In this interview, we’ll talk about their personal stories and how they are both navigating the world of sports from different positions. What brings Alvina Chen and Antony Scanlon together is more than values and work ethic. They are both speaking at TEDSports Indianapolis in less than two weeks to share their ideas and unique perspective on the future of sports.

If you’re passionate about sport, leadership, and the power of storytelling to drive change, this is an interview you won’t want to miss. And if you haven’t secured your ticket to TEDSports Indianapolis yet, you still have the chance to apply via this link
