iWorkinSport Convention & Job Fair 2025: Expanding Global Connections and Career Opportunities

Last Friday the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne, Switzerland, hosted the highly anticipated iWorkinSport Convention & Job Fair 2025. Renowned as the premier international career fair dedicated to the sports industry, this year's edition welcomed an exceptional lineup of recruiters, academic partners, and influential speakers, solidifying its reputation as a gateway to global opportunities in sport.


Building on the success of previous editions, iWorkinSport 2025 expanded its reach with even more international exhibitors, connecting ambitious candidates with top-tier sports organizations. Attendees engaged in impactful job interviews with esteemed recruiters from across the globe, representing a diverse range of roles and specializations in the sports sector.


A Global Assembly of Recruiters

This year's event saw participation from leading sports organizations such as adidas, bloomUp, the African Football Confederation (CAF) – which due to some last-minute issues, had to join remotely, C'mon Sports, Confut, European Club Association (ECA), FC Lausanne-Sport, FEI - the International Equestrian Federation, FIBA, Football Access Summit, Infront Sports & Media, LINKSPORTS, Safe Sport International, SPONSORIUM, SPORTEL, SPORTFIVE, UEFA, Volleyball World, and Wiz-Team. Their presence underscored the event's global impact and commitment to nurturing talent within the sports industry.


Academic Partners Driving Future Talent

The event was further enriched by a remarkable list of academic partners, including FIFA Master, Johan Cruyff Institute, AISTS (International Academy of Sport Science and Technology), University of Bath, GOALS - Erasmus Mundus Master in Sport Management, Les Roches, Sports Management School Lausanne, Swiss Education Group, Esade, IE Business School, IESE Business School, SDA Bocconi, Columbia University, and IMD. Their involvement highlighted the event’s dedication to academic excellence and the development of future leaders in sport.


High-Impact Conference Program

Alongside job interviews, the iWorkinSport Convention & Job Fair 2025 featured a world-class conference program. The agenda included insightful panels and presentations covering industry trends, practical career advice, and organizational needs in sports. The event was closed with an inspiring keynote delivered by Diederik Dewaele, Director of Football at the European Club Association (ECA), with the title was “Inside the Game: Lessons from a 20-year Journey in Professional Football”.


New Initiatives and Online Engagement

For the second consecutive year, those unable to attend the event in person could follow the entire program via live stream on the event's app. Online participants also had the opportunity to apply for interviews, reinforcing the event's commitment to accessibility and global reach.


VIP Activities at the Olympic Museum

The convention actually began the evening before at the Olympic Museum, with VIP activities that included a workshop, networking drinks, a dinner, and the Most Attractive Employers in Sport Awards. The exclusive setting provided recruiters and academic partners with unique opportunities to network and exchange insights while enjoying the stunning backdrop of Lake Geneva.


The iWorkinSport Convention & Job Fair was organized by ENGAGE Sports & Entertainment SA, with support from CIES – International Centre for Sports Studies (Gold Partner), Meent as the Recruitment Partner, and HumanForce as the Recruiters' Workshop presenter.
