Live interview with Luiz Fernando Lima, Chairman at Volleyball World

We’re delighted to welcome Luiz Fernando Lima, Chairman at Volleyball World, as this week’s guest at the iWorkinSport LIVE Interview, which will be live streamed on May 30th, at 5pm CEST.

Lima has been working in sport for over 40 years, with more than 30 years spent at Brazilian broadcaster TV Globo and another eight years at a top management role in volleyball – first as General Secretary of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), from 2015 to 2021; and since last year as Chairman of Volleyball World, a newly joint venture formed by FIVB and the private equity giant CVC.

At Globo, Lima started as a reporter and covered several World Cups, Olympic Games, Formula 1 seasons and various world championships in multiple sports. He was then promoted to Sports Director, and ran the sports department of South America largest broadcaster for 17 years.

At FIVB, he has contributed to the reorganisation of the federation’s properties, branding and content, for example, with the creation of the Volleyball Nations League, which combined under one umbrella the former men’s World League and women’s World Grand Prix tournaments. He was also one of the key persons in the realisation of the pioneering deal with CVC which created Volleyball World.

In this interview, we will find out more about his successful journey and certainly learn lessons to be applied on our own careers.

Tune in on Wednesday May 30th, at 5pm CEST, and send your questions!
