Top 20 Governing Bodies - The Most Attractive Employers in Sport 2024

To kick off the week we are announcing the Top 20 Governing Bodies - the latest category announcement from the iWorkinSport Most Attractive Employers in Sport Survey 2024 results.

Governing Bodies play a critical role in the ongoing effective governance of sports, focused heavily on the organization of events, promotion of fair competition and the safeguarding of athletes. Often separated from commercialization, Governing Bodies make for appealing employers for those looking to contribute positively to maintaining pure sporting environments. The Top 20 list of Governing Bodies includes entities from 13 different sports. Football appears seven times and includes the international governing body FIFA, regional bodies like UEFA, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL and CAF, as well as national bodies like The FA (England) and the DFB (Germany). Olympics-related governing bodies the IOC and the USOPC (United States) made the list. World Athletics, the ICC (Cricket) the FIA (Motor Sports) and World Rugby are other notable bodies appearing on the list. Check out the full list below.

The list is the result of a study conducted by iWorkinSport, which surveyed more than 1,600 people from 83 countries representing all continents, with the majority already working in sport, and asked them a simple question: “If you could choose to work anywhere in sport, where would that be?”

At first, the respondents chose organisations divided into ten categories and, at the end, they indicated one single preferred choice, overall – the “Employer of their Dreams”.

The final rankings of the iWorkinSport Most Attractive Employers 2024 will be announced at an Awards ceremony at the Olympic Museum, in Lausanne, on June 4th, at a VIP dinner offered to recruiters and academic partners of the iWorkinSport Job Fair, which will take place the following day in Lausanne.
