The AISTS was founded in 2000 by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), IMD Business School, the University of Lausanne, the University of Geneva, Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), the City of Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud.

AISTS Mission
The primary mission of AISTS is to Master Sport by positively contributing to sport management through a multi-disciplinary approach to education and sciences and by remaining at the forefront of the sport industry’s development and the Olympic movement.

Our Key Pillars

Education: Educating leaders, sport managers and sport professionals from various sectors, through adapted education programmes. 

Applied Research:  providing knowledge and expertise in relevant fields applied to the sports. 

Connections:  acting as a strategic connector in the world of sport.

WHAT DOES THE AISTS DO?
The AISTS responds to the needs of the sports industry by providing education in the form of short courses and a world-leading Sport Management Master program, alongside consulting and research to the international sports industry.
