Josoor Institute is the education and training arm of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, the organization leading Qatar's preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2022™. It was launched in December 2013 as a Legacy project with the goal to help continue to build the capabilities of the sports and events industries in Qatar and the MENA region in the run up to the World Cup, and the longer term a part of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Specifically, Josoor aims to:
Create a talent pool within the region capable of delivering FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and other major events develop the skills of current and future professionals
Act as a catalyst for the development and growth of the sports and events industries in Qatar and across the region
Help everyone with the talent and skill to pursue a career in these industries.
Through a world-class professional programme and bespoke courses blending theory and practice and seamlessly delivered through multiple platforms, since its creation Josoor has provided education and training solutions for over 4000 participants, equipping them with expertise and skills to manage projects and organizations in the sports and events industries.
For our programme, we engage an extensive network of professional partners and associates that help us design, develop and deliver all our activities. Our partners are our strength: they subscribe to our vision, goals and specific objectives in education, training and other areas, and our ultimate goal of delivering value for our Delegates as they pursue careers in the sports and events industries.
In parallel with its core education and training activities, Josoor hosts a regular series of webinars and sessions providing insight in the sports and events industries and supports research work on these industries, with a focus on Qatar and the greater MENA region.
