The Mobility Communications Coordinator is based in London, This role is offered as an FIA fixed-term contract covering a 12 month maternity leave. You will play a central, hands-on role in supporting the FIA Mobility Communications team, helping amplify strategic priorities, engage global Member Clubs, and deliver impactful communications campaigns.

You will take on a varied set of day-to-day responsibilities, with a significant emphasis, written content creation, social media planning, and cross-departmental collaboration, on media relations.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an early-career communications professional to develop and grow. Working in close partnership with team leadership, you will hone your PR and storytelling skills, gain direct exposure to international campaigns, and progressively expand your scope and impact across the federation.

MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Media Relations & Monitoring

  • Assist with day-to-day media relations, including fielding media inquiries, drafting pitches, and supporting press outreach.
  • Proactively identify media opportunities to highlight FIA Mobility initiatives and member club activities.
  • Conduct ongoing media monitoring and compile coverage reports to track media presence and campaign reach.
  • Assist in maintaining media databases and collaborating with external PR agency partners.

Content Development & Storytelling

  • Draft, edit, and proofread clear, engaging written content across multiple formats, including articles, press releases, web stories, and briefing documents.
  • Translate mobility, road safety, and sustainability projects into compelling messaging suited for international audiences.
  • Assist in assembling regular newsletters, member bulletins, and internal briefing materials.

Social Media & Digital Coordination

  • Assist in the planning, drafting, and scheduling of content across FIA Mobility social media channels.
  • Support website content updates to maintain timely, accurate, and consistent messaging.
  • Track digital engagement metrics and assist in preparing regular analytics reporting.

Cross-Functional & Campaign Support

  • Support the rollout and promotion of broad communications plans and advocacy campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, particularly Member Services and the wider Mobility division, to surface success stories and club milestones.
  • Provide communications and administrative coordination for major mobility events, conferences, and webinars.

PROFILE:

  • University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in communications, PR, or media; agency background (such as an Assistant Account Executive or Account Executive) is preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with rigorous attention to detail and tone of voice.
  • Solid working knowledge of media relations basics (pitching, coverage tracking) and social media content workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage varied workloads effectively.
  • Awareness of the mobility, transport, or sustainability sectors is an advantage, but a willingness and curiosity to learn quickly is essential.
  • Fluency in English with a high standard of written and spoken communication; proficiency in French and/or Spanish is a strong advantage.
