As part of a maternity leave replacement, Meent is supporting France Judo in recruiting a freelance Human Resources Manager.
The French Judo Federation (Fédération Française de Judo et Disciplines Associées), founded in 1946, is a non-profit organization under French law (Law 1901). It operates under delegation from the Ministry of Sports and oversees 5,300 clubs evenly distributed across France. The Federation also coordinates 12 regional leagues through delegated territorial bodies.
Role
From January to May 2026, France Judo is seeking a freelance Human Resources Manager to implement and manage its HR and social policies in alignment with the Federation’s strategic objectives.
Working 2 to 3 days per week, you will ensure employee well-being and contribute your expertise across all key HR functions.
Reporting to the Administrative and Financial Director, you will work closely with both employees and managers to support effective HR practices and compliance, while fostering a positive work culture. You will lead and supervise a team of two HR professionals.
Missions & Responsibilities
HR Policy & Practices
- Drive and embody the HR strategy in line with France Judo’s core values of respect and integrity, ensuring its consistent deployment across the organization.
- Oversee HR practices, integrating regulatory, organizational, and social developments.
- Promote and train staff on HR best practices, nurturing a caring and high-performing management culture.
- Support, advise, and challenge managers in team structuring, skills management, and day-to-day leadership situations.
Career Development
- Support employee career growth and skills development.
- Organize and monitor annual and professional appraisal campaigns.
Training
- Develop and implement the annual training plan.
- Manage and monitor training requests and funding processes.
Employee Relations & Legal Compliance
- Foster constructive social dialogue with employee representative bodies (CSE) and co-lead collective negotiations.
- Identify and mitigate workplace risks; ensure preventive and corrective actions to safeguard employees’ physical and mental well-being.
- Ensure HR compliance with all legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Manage disciplinary and individual employee relations cases proactively.
- Respond to HR-related questions and requests from employees.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from needs definition to employee onboarding.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the recruitment process.
HR Department Management
- In coordination with external providers and internal teams, you will ensure the efficient supervision of HR operations, including:
- Overseeing personnel administration and payroll (outsourced), ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
- Maintaining and updating the BDESE (social and economic database).
- Managing HR dashboards and KPIs (social, financial, and operational) to deliver reliable and insightful reporting.
Profile Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner, with proven ability to support teams daily and collaborate directly with leadership.
- Strong command of employment law and social regulations, ensuring compliance in all HR practices.
- Diplomatic, structured, and reassuring, you have demonstrated your ability to manage projects and lead change.
- Experience with Lucca HR software is required.
- Comfortable working with data and HR indicators to guide decision-making.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, negotiation, and communication, combined with energy, leadership, and autonomy.
- Experience in a non-profit or association environment is an asset.
- A genuine interest in sport and understanding of its values will be a strong advantage.
