FIFPRO is the global representative of professional men’s and women’s footballers worldwide. With over 65 affiliated national player unions and associations across the world, we are committed to defending the rights, position, and employment conditions of professional footballers in their working environments. Through its committed staff at the head office, FIFPRO serves its members and players worldwide via internal teams covering legal, men’s and women’s football policy, communications, finance, and union and player relations, services and support.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Policy Officer, Women’s Football, to support us in our policy and strategic relations work. The Global Policy & Strategic Relations team is a central tenant of FIFPRO, responsible for the policy and strategic outputs that relate to the women’s football industry and its development and sustainability for players, especially.

The right candidate for this role will bring a solid understanding of women’s professional and international football, specifically core policy fields that relate to players' rights and pertinent topics. Our vision for this role is that it is an opportunity to develop the right person into future positions of greater responsibility during this exciting period of growth for women’s football at FIFPRO.

You will be part of a dynamic team, where colleagues come from a range of international backgrounds and experiences. We work across many topics and subject areas, each bringing our own individual voice and opinion to our shared work collaboratively and openly. Relocation to the Netherlands is required.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Contribute to and coordinate key strategic projects in various fields of sporting, employment, and economic interest of professional football players;

• Liaise and streamline work and information flow with other FIFPRO teams and colleagues to ensure effective cooperation;

• Assist with relationship management and processes with key stakeholders such as FIFA, confederations, clubs and leagues;

• Assist in the coordination of key research;

• Draft policy papers and conduct various policy development activities;

• Support the transformation of policy positions into strategic activities and campaigns;

• Contribute pro-actively to the strategic development of women’s football at FIFPRO


NEED TO HAVE:

• a Bachelor’s degree;

• fluent in English and preferably either French or Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• experience in the professional women’s football or women’s sport industry. A background as a professional football player is not required but considered a plus;

• an existing understanding and commitment to key player rights areas such as women’s player health and wellbeing, labour rights, sporting and economic developments in professional women’s football, etc.

• the salary band for this role is €4,399 - €5,894 gross per month, adjusted for experience
