Meent is supporting Wetix in the recruitment of a Ticketing Manager (permanent contract) on behalf of FC Metz.
Founded in 1932, Football Club de Metz is a professional football club currently competing in Ligue 1. The club is seeking a Ticketing Manager to oversee all ticketing operations, including matchday ticketing, sales coordination, systems and supplier management - while ensuring attendance and revenue targets are consistently met.
The position is managed by Wetix Agency, the company in charge of ticketing for FC Metz. Founded in 2019, Wetix is the result of the merger between AP2S, EforSports, Myticket and Bandsquare, and offers a comprehensive range of ticketing software and services.
Over the years, Wetix has supported leading sports and cultural rights holders, providing recognized expertise in IT engineering, ticketing operations, and customer relationship management.

Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Ticketing Manager plays a strategic leadership role in defining and implementing the club’s ticketing strategy, driving commercial development, and supervising operational execution.
They will lead the key areas of the ticketing department (Customer Operations, System Configuration & Data Analysis, Access Control), define workflows, coordinate with internal and external partners, and guarantee the achievement of attendance, revenue, and customer satisfaction goals.
Missions & Responsibilities
Ticketing Strategy & Development
- Define the mid- and long-term ticketing strategy aligned with the club’s ambitions and in close collaboration with the commercial department.
- Set revenue targets across season tickets, single-match sales, and specific offers (group sales, hospitality, special events, etc.).
- Identify and develop growth opportunities: new ticketing offers, audience segmentation, loyalty initiatives, innovative pricing strategies, etc.
- Design and adapt ticketing products to meet the evolving needs of various audiences (supporters, families, businesses, youth, etc.).
- Propose structural improvements to the ticketing system: internal processes, tools, organizational models.
- Prioritize and manage cross-departmental projects, allocate resources, and define associated roadmaps.
- Act as a driving force for innovation and market intelligence, staying ahead of industry trends and competitive practices.
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage the three ticketing divisions, each consisting of full-time staff and interns.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and workflows within each division.
- Challenge, mentor, and upskill team members, organize weekly meetings, and set clear priorities.
- Oversee task allocation during peak activity periods.
- Ensure smooth internal coordination and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Implement structured processes to improve daily operations, optimize workflows, and secure internal procedures.
- Validate internal and external briefs, ensuring quality, consistency, and traceability.
- Create and maintain reference materials (manuals, guidelines, protocols) to support team autonomy and operational continuity.
- Foster strong collaboration between divisions, other club departments, and external providers.
Commercial Optimization & Sales Monitoring
- Continuously monitor ticketing sales performance (season tickets, single matches, groups, etc.).
- Define target audiences and tailor offers to various segments: B2C, B2B, groups, schools, and corporate.
- Design and manage marketing campaigns: season ticket launches, bundles, targeted offers, remarketing, promo codes.
- Analyze results and propose real-time adjustments to maximize attendance and revenue.
- Optimize purchasing journeys (online and on-site) to ensure seamless, accessible, and user-friendly experiences.
- Ensure consistency across sales platforms, digital tools, and customer messaging.
Financial Management & Budget
- Build and defend the annual ticketing budget in collaboration with the commercial department.
- Track budget execution: analyze operating costs, margins, and deviations from forecasts.
- Manage all financial flows related to ticketing (matchday revenue, season tickets, hospitality, group sales, etc.).
- Supervise accounting closeouts after each home game and ensure accurate reporting.
- Guarantee revenue traceability and compliance in close collaboration with the finance department.
- Oversee ticketing-related invoicing between Wetix and FC Metz.
Reporting, Data & Analytics
- Oversee the production of weekly and monthly reports (sales, attendance, occupancy rates, purchasing behavior).
- Track key performance indicators: revenue, occupancy rate, promo code usage, etc.
- Analyze sales and attendance data to inform strategic decisions and refine commercial actions.
- Supervise campaign reports for management, the LFP, and other stakeholders.
- Validate individual reports from each division (customer service, system configuration, access control) to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Operational Supervision – Match Days & Season Ticket Campaigns
- Oversee all ticketing operations on match days (logistics, ticket offices, staffing, flow coordination).
- Manage ticket office and access control teams (card distribution, disputes, payments, invitations), ensuring a smooth and professional customer experience.
- Approve operational timelines to ensure flawless matchday execution.
- Lead the pre-match access control steering committee (review previous match performance, identify improvements, adapt plans based on capacity or venue constraints).
- Ensure proper configuration and functioning of access control systems (scanners, hardware, software).
- Anticipate operational needs based on match type (attendance levels, audience profile, risk level, weather, etc.).
- Coordinate season ticket campaign preparation: scheduling, staffing, tools, weekly progress meetings.
Ticketing Systems Management & Supplier Relations
- Act as the main point of contact for ticketing technology providers (D10, Aparté, Extent, Skidata, Pacifa, TBS, etc.).
- Oversee campaign setup, offers, purchasing flows, and pricing configurations.
- Supervise feature developments (ticket formats, e-tickets, CRM, access control) based on operational and commercial needs.
- Coordinate testing, updates, quality assurance, and bug resolution with vendors.
- Consolidate internal needs (commercial, management, customer service) to define development priorities.
- Approve and challenge system evolutions to ensure continuous improvement of ticketing tools and related services.
Profile Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in ticketing management, ideally within a professional sports club (Ligue 1 or Ligue 2) or a high-attendance environment (sports, live events, entertainment).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with ticketing management systems (APARTE) and CRM software.
- Strong knowledge of ticketing operations, pricing strategies, and sales channels (online, box office, B2B, group sales, etc.).
Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage complex or conflictual situations.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, communications, ticketing, and security teams.
