Job Description

We are seeking a Marketing Associate to support free-to-play game and marketing operations for the new Fanatics app. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of sports, as well as familiarity with sports betting and odds. Your expertise in this area will inform decision-making processes and contribute to operational excellence. This role will also be responsible for marketing operations such as content planning, creative development, and campaign execution. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who excels at execution and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The position involves flexible working hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays to cover the busy sporting calendar.

Responsibilities

Game Operations

  • Utilize extensive sports and sports betting / odds knowledge to create compelling free-to-play contests on a daily basis.
  • Work closely with the Trading, Content, and Marketing teams to tailor free-to-play contests toward the sport calendar, highlighting key matchups and events.
  • Monitor injury reports and game events to proactively inform changes to daily free-to-play contests.
  • The position involves flexible working hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays to cover the busy sporting calendar.

Marketing Operations

  • Work with cross-functional teams to help build and maintain the Fanatics app content and marketing communications calendar based on key sporting events, free-to-play contests, and promotions.
  • Develop detailed campaign briefs that clearly communicate requirements, deliverables, timelines and provide feedback and approval of assets in partnership with the creative and legal teams.
  • QA assets prior to execution, ensuring each campaign is tested and functions as expected.
  • Support daily execution of content and campaign setup, asset management, monitoring and reporting. Occasionally be available on nights (7pm - midnight ET) and weekends to set content and marketing communications live.
  • Help execute campaigns that deliver against new user acquisition and retention goals, leveraging in-app content, email, push, social, and paid marketing to acquire and retain Fanatics app users.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of Marketing / / Operations experience, in the sports industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline.
  • Extensive knowledge of various sports is non-negotiable.
  • Familiarity with sports betting concepts, including odds calculation and terminology.
  • Marketing experience building and executing multi-channel campaigns (email, app content, and push notifications) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to effectively execute and follow processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Extremely proactive and understands that the business regularly evolves and is ready to pivot.
  • A team player that is collaborative and able to work cross-functionally across different teams at Fanatics.
  • The position involves flexible working hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays to cover the busy sporting calendar.
  • Must be okay traveling to team off sites and offices occasionally.
