Liverpool FC Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity to provide high quality support for our Youth Work Apprentices programme.
The Youth Work coordinator role will support the Foundation vision of provide life-changing opportunities to young people in the most deprived areas of Liverpool by creating and delivering a high-quality youth provision.
The successful applicant will assist in the development of the Youth Work programme and support the professional development of the Youth Works apprentices and provide exceptional delivery across the LFC Foundations programmes.
In addition to working on our Youht Works programme the post holder will work across numerous LFC Foundation programmes, including but not limited to Youth intervention supporting young people who are at risk and our Inclusion department working with young people and adults with additional needs/disabilities, Refugees/Asylum seekers and the LGBT+ community.
What will you be doing?
Support a team and the professional development of Youth Works apprentices
Create and deliver Youth Development programmes that provide life changing opportunities to young people in the most deprived areas of Liverpool.
Conduct detached sessions to engage with young people in our communities.
Create curriculum and work with external partners and key stakeholders to achieve programme KPIs.
Identify and recruit young people, working alongside the Foundation’s marketing team and other key partners.
Ensure the monitoring and evaluation framework is carried out effectively to ensure data is captured accurately and in line with our reporting procedures.
Manage the risk across all programmes to ensure the safety of all young people and staff, following Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Regularly complete the quality assurance procedure to ensure consistent delivery of a world-class programme.
Collate case studies and feedback to quantify the success and validate the programme.
Support the Foundation delivery and events.
Who are we looking for:
It’s important the successful candidate has a Level 3 in Youth Work and experience of working with people in Youth Centres or a similar environment. The role holder should have strong leadership and organisational skills.
This post will involve building excellent working relationships and possessing excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. The successful candidate would be expected to keep up to date records for every activity/session on LFC Foundation reporting systems and databases. Knowledge of reporting and case study experience would be advantageous.
We’re committed to safeguarding young people, so the candidate must also have a level 1 (or higher) qualification in safeguarding young people, and a strong understanding of good safeguarding practices. Similarly, we also aim to be the most inclusive football club, so the candidate must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge and implementation of inclusive youth work practices.

This is a full-time one-year fixed term contract role working 35 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days with evening and some weekend work required. This role is based in the Anfield Sports and Community Centre in Liverpool; however, the post holder will be required to work from other locations across Merseyside
