JOB TITLE:  Data Analyst, Business Intelligence                                        REPORTING TO:  Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence

DEPARTMENT:  Business Intelligence                                                                 LOCATION: Hybrid, New York, NY


POSITION OVERVIEW: 

NYCFC is seeking a highly motivated analyst to join the Business Intelligence Team to support strategic initiatives and data-driven decision making across the organization.

The person in this role will be passionate about turning data into actionable insights in a fast-paced environment across different functional areas of the business.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills with competencies in full end-to-end analytical practices, from querying data and creating predictive models to designing dashboards and presenting results to internal stakeholders.

This role will be responsible for using data analysis to support Ticket Sales, Marketing, Corporate Partnerships and overall Business Operations.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Build and maintain Tableau reports and analyses using various data sources such as Ticketmaster Archtics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Yinzcam, Relo, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and more
  • Automate manually created reports such as commission calculations and post-game reports
  • Utilize data to develop predictive models to be used for ticket pricing and revenue forecasting
  • Maintain and improve ticket holder retention models to identify at-risk accounts
  • Develop lead scoring models to identify new business opportunities
  • Assist with marketing automation efforts for email and digital advertising campaigns
  • Work with Partnerships Analyst to complete partnership evaluations and reporting 
  • Summarize key insights and communicate recommendations to stakeholders across the organization
  • Perform additional ad-hoc tasks as necessary


WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
  • Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm about contributing to the success of the department and club
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability at prioritize and handle multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong knowledge of regression analysis and other statistical tools/techniques required (R, Python, etc.)
  • Previous experience working with large data sets
  • Previous experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary
