Location: Position is in our Paris offices (40 rue du colisée 75008.) but can also be based in our Germany offices.

Contract Type / Length: Permanent

• Attendance at out-of-hour events to develop networking opportunities.
• Extended hours in the build up to events and weekends during events.
• Frequent travels required.
  

The successful candidate will support the sponsorship efforts for IMG on the EuroLeague project.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Work hand in hand with the Senior Director to deliver strong sponsorship results for the project at global level.
• Work with the pre-GTM team to identify new categories, new prospects and new revenue lines for the project.
• Proactively build and manage a robust pipeline of brand prospects across continental Europe, with a focus on global deals.
• Drive outbound activity – calls, meetings, industry conferences and events – to generate meaningful commercial conversations.
• Represent IMG & Euroleague credibly with senior marketing and decision-makers by delivering bespoke partnership proposals.
• Establish reporting structure for effective internal communications as relates to all leads and sales for EuroLeague, internally at IMG.
• Maintain rigorous CRM and reporting discipline with Euroleague, keeping pipeline and forecasting accurate and up to date.
• Continuously monitor the market, competitors and brand activity to identify and act on new opportunities.
• Build strong relationship with the EuroLeague team based in Barcelona.
  

Knowledge And Experience

• 6-8 years' experience in partnership sales, with a proven record of closing six/seven-figure deals.
• Demonstrable experience winning brand and agency partners through a structured, pipeline-led approach.
• A solid black book and network of brands in Europe.
• Proven experience of working hand in hand with a rights holder in order to generate mutually beneficial business development goals.
• Strong understanding of the digital marketing space.
• A good understanding of the sports landscape and how sponsorship assets work in the wider marketing mix.
• A knowledge of the European basketball landscape is preferred

• Strong commercial fluency: audience data, digital, brand fit, sponsorship valuation and ROI.
• Confident, tenacious hunter – comfortable picking up the phone and driving deals to close.
• Fluent English essential.
• An unflappable personality and strong negotiator.
• Outstanding relationship-builder who quickly establishes rapport and trust.
• Highly organised and process-driven, with no aversion to admin, CRM or reporting.
