About The Role
At OCS, we are looking for a SEO professional to work with us for a maternity cover in our Digital Marketing efforts in our mission to spread our Olympic values. In this exciting opportunity your main focus will be to improve the Olympics.com global and local content’s search and AI visibility to drive long term and sustainable traffic growth. You will also be guiding the development of content search programs to grow engagement, acquisition and retention in priority local markets. For this position you will be working in partnership with our global editorial team, local content agencies, games organising committees, IOC partners and corporate communications to assure search and AI visibility and consistency in all published content.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as an expert, which develops and delivers essential digital engagement capabilities to the organisation including: Search and Generative Engine Optimisation, Content Marketing Strategy, and Web and App Platforms Engagement and Acquisition. 
  • Develop annual content search KPIs and targets, to drive new, returning and converting audiences to Olympic Web and App platforms, including third-party platforms such as Youtube or App Store. 
  • Maintain the development of the long-term global Organic Search Content strategy, working across multiple markets and languages. 
  • Increase the search share of voice and visibility of the Olympic Brand. 
  • Become key partner to the global editorial, corporate comms and social media teams in order to drive optimisation, high levels of engagement and adequate promotion of the Olympic platform editorial and video content, leading into Olympic ID acquisition. 
  • Work with Organising Committees of Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games to assure that the SEO content strategies are aligned and avoid search visibility cannibalisations with Olympics.com content.
  • Co-create the SEO content calendars & local level SEO content strategy for the identified key markets. 
  • Guide Olympic Localisation Team and their partners to assure high standard of content optimisation are maintained across all markets guiding into local sustainable traffic growth. 
  • Enhance video content optimisation search strategy for Olympic YouTube Channel. 
  • Work pro-actively with social media team to assure that SEO insights are reflected in their day-to-day work and equally that SEO content is promoted via social media channels. 
  • Support a deep integration of the SEO KPI tracking with the Data & Analytics Team and Business Insights Teams.
  • Track, report and analyse SEO content performance, including content engagement metrics. 

Minimum Experience & Skills

  • Degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in SEO, digital content experience with focus on content marketing.
  • Experience with digital growth through organisational change and being a catalyst for that change. 
  • Experience with SEO platforms; Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs or equivalent
  • Strong communication in English, both written and spoken with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. 
  • Experience working with partners and in local markets, considering and addressing cultural context to be successful. 
  • Project management skills to guide the team and projects to ensure cross-functional teams remain organised, on track and coordinated.
  • Solid understanding of current organic search trends, in association with how a digital ecosystem, digital product and content need to be amended to increase competitiveness and search visibility. 

Advantageous Knowledge & Skills

  • Well informed of changes in the digital space and the impact on search and AI visibility, including ongoing algorithmic changes across global search providers, and ability to advise on impact to product, content and mobile. 
  • Forward thinking ability to translate industry trends to meet business priorities.  
  • Excellent relationship management experience overseeing several partnerships (internal and external) at once to succeed. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.  
  • Results-focused approach with a track record of success.    

Workplace & Environment  

  • Schedule Availability: This role requires immediate full-time availability.
  • Location: Spain with occasional travel to the IOC offices in Lausanne.
  • This is a temporary opportunity for  approximately 6 months to cover a maternity leave, based in Madrid.
