
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.
The Head of Media Rights role sits at the centre of the IOC’s commercial agenda and carries full responsibility for revenue generation across the global media rights portfolio in a highly strategic and international environment.

Main responsibilities for the role will include:
Sales and negotiation
Lead the global commercialisation of the IOC’s media rights portfolio, driving revenue generation and long-term value across all major Olympic properties.
Own high-stakes international sales processes and negotiations, structuring competitive bids, developing partner strategies and securing optimal commercial outcomes across multiple markets.
Bring a forward-looking perspective on the media landscape, combining market insight, financial rigour and data-led analysis to anticipate trends, identify opportunities and position the IOC competitively against leading global sports properties.
Servicing
Ensure the long-term success and value delivery of IOC Media Rights Holders, with direct oversight of servicing strategy and execution.
Drive high-quality partner engagement across the lifecycle - from onboarding and integration to delivery and post-Games review - ensuring contractual commitments, operational excellence and overall partner satisfaction.
Act as a central point of coordination across key stakeholders, including internal IOC functions and Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), to ensure seamless delivery of broadcast-related assets and programmes.
Contribute to and drive the implementation of commercial guidelines governing media rights exploitation.
Rights Protection
Oversee the IOC’s Rights Protection Programme, ensuring effective safeguarding of media rights across all markets.
Manage external partners and coordinate closely with internal teams to address infringement risks and protect the long-term value of the portfolio.
Leadership
Lead and develop the Media Rights team, setting clear direction and building a culture of performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
Drive ambitious commercial objectives while empowering the team to operate at a high level in a complex, international environment.
