Main goal
Lead the delivery of key UEFA club competition match operations projects and provide club competition match operations support.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, implementing and monitoring the delivery of club competition match operations projects to the required standard including but not limited club onboarding (centralised and non-centralised phases), coordination of updates to regulations and manuals, coordination of assigned working groups and workshops
- Representing the club competition match operations team internally and externally
- Developing a cross-functional strategy for incident management and resolution
- Ensuring coordination of match information with the Safety and Security unit
- Providing UEFA match officers and venue teams with on-call and matchnight support from the UEFA Match Command Centre and assisting the Crisis Management Group in emergency situations, facilitating the internal decision-making process, ensuring smooth consultation procedures and coordination between those on-site and at UEFA headquarters, and providing clear instructions to those on-site
- Identifying potential improvements and establishing strategies for the continuous development of match operations delivery
- Contributing to the review and development of key operational materials
- Supporting colleagues in the Football Operations unit as required
Requirements
Experience
- At least 5 years in event organisation, sports management and project coordination
- At least 5 years at a professional football club
Education
- Bachelor's in a relevant field
Languages
- English / Proficient
- Fluency in other European languages would be an asset
Other
- Detailed working knowledge of the professional sports environment
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Experience in major event planning and delivery
- Excellent problem-solving skills and diplomacy
- Extensive experience of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Management tools
- Proven communication skills and ability to deliver high-quality reports and presentations
