The Role
As we expand our digital footprint and commercial portfolio, we are looking for a Data Analytics & Insights Manager to help unlock the full potential of our digital platforms, marketing campaigns, and fan engagement strategies through data.
You will lead the development of CEV’s data ecosystem to support digital growth, improve marketing performance, and guide strategic decision-making. You will work in the Digital Department to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive audience growth, content optimisation, and commercial impact.
This is a strategic and hands-on role for a data professional who can combine technical expertise with strong business thinking and a passion for sport.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Fan Engagement Insights
• Analyse user behavior across the CEV’s website, social media platforms, and OTT service (EuroVolleyTV) to optimise fan journeys and increase engagement.
• Build and manage dashboards and KPIs for content performance, user acquisition, and digital ROI.
• Provide insights to support campaign planning, segmentation, A/B testing, and personalisation strategies.
Marketing & Sponsorship Intelligence
• Measure marketing performance across paid and organic channels, identifying high-performing content, channels, and audience segments.
• Support the commercial team by evaluating the digital value and visibility of sponsorship activations.
• Create partner-facing reports that demonstrate measurable returns on sponsorship investments.
Strategic Data Infrastructure
• Lead the design and implementation of a scalable data analytics infrastructure and governance model.
• Integrate multiple data sources (social media, OTT, ticketing, CRM, website) into a central reporting system.
• Ensure compliance with data protection (GDPR) and data accuracy across platforms.
Cross-Functional Decision Support
• Provide ongoing insights to support digital transformation, product development, marketing investments, and revenue forecasting.
• Collaborate with the Events, Commercial, Digital, and Communications teams to embed data into everyday decision-making.
• Prepare executive-level reports and insights for CEV’s senior leadership, including the President and Board of Administration.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within the sports, media, or entertainment industry.
• Advanced skills in data visualisation and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
• Solid experience with data extraction and processing (e.g. SQL, Python, Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into compelling narratives and strategies.
• Experience in reporting digital performance and sponsorship value to commercial partners is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, digital marketing funnels, and OTT or ticketing analytics is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are an asset.
