The Role

As an Account Executive in Sports Management at IMG you'll play a pivotal role in managing media rights clients, coordinating contracts, updating CRM systems, and working seamlessly with teams across legal, finance, digital and production. You'll dig into data, uncover audience and market trends, and help craft compelling sales materials that drive results. With opportunities to support major sporting events and industry conferences, this role is made for someone with sharp organisational skills, an analytical and a proactive mindset, and a genuine passion for the fast-moving world of sports media. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

Account Coordination & Client Support

  • Assist in the day-to-day coordination of media rights clients and contracts for tennis and other key sports clients.
  • Managing and updating contract matrices to ensure accurate tracking and compliance with global contractual obligations.
  • Regularly updating the internal sales CRM to ensure timely, accurate tracking of accounts and revenue management.
  • Support the renewal and activation of media rights agreements, liaising with legal, finance and commercial teams.
  • Work with all areas of the business on a day-to-day basis - including production, digital and distribution.

Data & Market Analysis

  • Conduct basic data analysis on media rights valuations, audience figures, and revenue trends.
  • Research and provision of data using internal and external sources.
  • Monitor broadcast performance and market trends in sports media and provide once weekly reports for internal teams.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports and client performance reviews.

Presentation & Document Preparation

  • Create clear, compelling presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop sales decks, market insights, and rights summaries to support negotiations.
  • Take detailed meeting notes and track key action points in a timely fashion.

Event & Operational Support

  • Provide on-site assistance at major sporting events, helping with media partner coordination and hospitality.
  • Support broadcast operations, ensuring rights holders and media partners receive necessary materials.
  • Assist in event planning and execution for media days and industry conferences

Knowledge And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate environment, preferably within the sports, media, or entertainment sectors.
  • Data analysis skills (intermediate – advanced Excel, Google Sheets) and ability to interpret audience/revenue data.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote to create professional presentations.
  • Experience supporting events, either through work experience, internships, volunteer roles, or student-led sports initiatives (preferred)
  • Direct or academic exposure to CRM platforms and contract tracking systems (preferred)

Skills And Abilities

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Proven interest in the sports and media landscape.
  • Comfort reviewing basic contract clauses and understanding revenue or compliance implications.
  • Confidence using tools like YouGov, Neilson or industry newsletters (SportBusiness, SportsPro, etc.) to support decisions (preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage priorities across clients and timelines without compromising accuracy
