To wrap up the week we are announcing the latest Top 10 category in the iWorkinSport Most Attractive Employers in Sport 2024 survey results: Governing Bodies.
Governing Bodies are the foundation of the growing and extremely successful sports ecosystem, making them attractive employers to many. The IOC and FIFA - arguably the two biggest and most influential governing bodies whose reach and impact extend even beyond sport - are included in the Top 10 list. Continental football governing bodies CAF (Africa) and UEFA (Europe) appear alongside a collection of specific sport international governing bodies FIA (Motor Sports), FIBA (Basketball), ITF (Tennis), World Athletics and World Rugby. The FA, the national governing body of English football is the lone national governing body to appear on the list. Check out the full list below.
The list is the result of a study conducted by iWorkinSport, which surveyed more than 1,600 people from 83 countries representing all continents, with the majority already working in sport, and asked them a simple question: “If you could choose to work anywhere in sport, where would that be?”
At first, the respondents chose organisations divided into ten categories and, at the end, they indicated one single preferred choice, overall – the “Employer of their Dreams”.
The final rankings of the iWorkinSport Most Attractive Employers 2024 will be announced at an Awards ceremony at the Olympic Museum, in Lausanne, on June 4th, at a VIP dinner offered to recruiters and academic partners of the iWorkinSport Job Fair, which will take place the following day in Lausanne.
In the Governing Bodies category, the 10 most-voted were, in alphabetical order:

The survey was conducted from 16 January to 17 March 2023 and counted 1,619 respondents, from 101 nationalities, living in 83 countries, with 84% having at least a bachelor degree and 52% with postgraduate education, while 87% already work in sport. Detailed demographics data will be available in the report.
