iWorkinSport announces The Most Attractive Employers in Sport report

iWorkinSport, the platform that connects candidates with employers in the sports industry through its unique in-person and digital events, will launch the first edition of a brand-new report entitled The Most Attractive Employers in Sport 2021 on May 21st, during the iWorkinSport Virtual Job Fair.

The Switzerland-based company surveyed more than a 1,000 people from all continents, with the majority already working in sport, and asked them a simple question: “If you could choose to work anywhere in sport, where would that be?”

At first, the respondents chose organisations divided in nine categories, and at the end they indicated one single preferred choice, overall – the “Employer of their Dreams”.

The nine categories covered in the report are: Football Clubs, Sports Teams (other than Football), Sports Teams in the USA, Sports Leagues, Sports Governing Bodies, Event Organisers, Sports Marketing Agencies, Sponsors, and Sporting Goods Companies.

The survey also assessed what professionals most value when choosing potential employers.

iWorkinSport Founder and Managing Partner, Joao Frigerio, said: “When we think about the ‘job market’, we immediately think of candidates looking for jobs, but the truth is that organisations search for (the right) talent as much as candidates look for work. In that sense, it is paramount that the industry players understand how they rate in terms of Employer Branding. It is also crucial to understand what candidates and employees most value when deciding to accept a job offer. That’s why we decided to produce such a comprehensive study”. He added: “If you guessed that salary would appear as one of the main deciding factors, you would be surprised”.

In the coming days, iWorkinSport will start to post the shortlists of the Top 20 Most Attractive Employers in Sport, in each category. To find out which companies are shortlisted, follow iWorkinSport’s professional and social media channels: LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and iworkinsport.com.
