iWorkinSport LIVE #12: The challenges faced by black women working in sport

Join us on Thursday, 9 July 2020, at 6pm (CEST) for the 12th episode of the iWorkinSport LIVE Interview series.

The issues of racial discrimination and gender inequality in the workplace may be uncomfortable to many, but no longer can be avoided. In order to encourage and promote the importance of that conversation, we invited not one but two successful women of colour to talk about the challenges they have faced in their careers in the sports industry.

In this special episode - the first where we will have two guests at once - we will talk with Neikelle Moore, Director at Emerson Collective, and formerly at the NBA, and Eden Ghebresellassie, Global Creative Strategy Lead at ESPN.

This episode was inspired by the 2-part webinar series on “Discrimination in the Americas and the Role of Sport” produced by CIES (International Centre of Sports Studies), one of our Academic Partners. See the links for those videos below.

Regardless of your gender and ethnicity, if you think that this is an important topic, make sure you tune in and participate in the conversation.

Feel free to send your questions in advance.

We look forward to seeing you there.
